Wildfire Prepared Home Assessment Program  is administered by the Community Wildfire Planning Center, a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization based in Colorado.  The program engages local residents, realtors, fire protection districts and other community members seeking to reduce wildfire risk to homes and property.

Elk Creek Fire Department 

Conifer, Colorado 

Founded in 1948, the Elk Creek Fire Protection District provides fire prevention, fire suppression and emergency medical services to Conifer, Colorado, and surrounding communities.

Inter-Canyon Fire Protection District 

Morrison, Colorado

Founded in 1956, the Inter-Canyon Fire Protection District  covers 52 square miles and includes fifty active firefighters that provide fire suppression, Wildland fire, rescue, emergency medical calls and hazardous material emergencies.  

Community Wildfire Planning Center 

The Community Wildfire Planning Center (CWPC) is a non-profit dedicated to helping communities prepare for, adapt to, and recover from wildfires. With expertise in wildfire, planning, forestry, and program development, CWPC works with communities to provide home assessments, professional training, and education.  http://www.communitywildfire.org

Upper South Platte Partnership 

The Upper South Platte Partnership (USPP) is a group of organizations with expertise in all aspects of forest and wildfire management. The partnership includes local fire protection districts, non-profits, local and state foresters, conservation organizations, and federal agencies. By focusing on protecting communities, improving forest conditions, and improving wildfire response, the USPP helps landowners manage their land and positively impact their community, while protecting the watershed for all.

Molly Mowery, AICP
Founder - Wildfire Planning International


Molly Mowery is founder and CEO of Wildfire Planning International, LLC, a consulting practice that helpings communities reduce wildfire risk through land use planning strategies. Ms. Mowery developed the first wildfire planning training course for FEMA, and co-authored the forthcoming “Planning the Wildland-Urban Interface” publication by the American Planning Association.

​She also manages the planning assistance for the Community Planning Assistance for Wildfire program. She received her Master in City Planning degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and is certified through the American Planning Association.
